Privacy policy: no sign-up, no cookies, cookieless analytics

We built SavingsMath to work without knowing who you are. There is no sign-up, no account, no cookies and no ads. This page explains the little data that is processed and why.

Who is responsible

The controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Your calculator inputs stay with you

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored on a server. They are kept in the page address (the part after the ?), so that a reload, a bookmark or a shared link shows the same plan.

If you share a link, whoever opens it sees the numbers in it. Like any address you visit, it also reaches our hosting provider as part of the request (see below).

Your device may remember a display preference, such as the currency you picked, in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Hosting: Cloudflare

The site is a set of static pages delivered by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical data from every request, such as your IP address, the address requested, the time, and your browser’s user agent. This is required to show you the site and to keep it secure, which is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cloudflare acts as our processor and may process this data outside the EU. Such transfers are covered by Cloudflare’s data processing terms, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics

To understand which pages are used and how fast they load, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not use local storage to recognise you, and according to Cloudflare does not fingerprint visitors. It reports aggregate figures such as page views, referring sites, countries, browsers and page-load times. We cannot use it to identify you or to follow you across other websites.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can block the analytics script with a content blocker without losing any function of the site.

No ads, no advertising cookies

The site shows no ads and sets no advertising cookies. If we add affiliate links later, they will be plain links that carry a partner ID. Nothing is set on this site when you click one: once you are on the partner’s site, that site handles its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply and keep them only as long as needed for that conversation and any legal record-keeping duty.

What we do not do

• No accounts, no newsletter sign-up, no payment details on this site.
• No social media plugins or tracking pixels.
• No selling or renting of data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Because we do not identify visitors, we usually hold no data that can be linked to you; if you believe we do, write to reactera.com@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, dataprotection.gov.sk) or the authority in the EU country where you live.

Changes

We update this policy when the site changes, for example before the first affiliate link goes live. The date at the top shows the last review.

Results are illustrations

• Assumed returns. Unless you switch on market risk, the calculator assumes the same return every year. Real markets go up and down, and an investment can lose value.
• Past returns do not promise future ones. Example rates on this site, such as those for a savings account, bonds or an index fund, are round illustrations, not forecasts or quotes for any product.
• Market risk is a model. The range shown with market risk switched on comes from a statistical model with simplified assumptions. Real outcomes can fall outside it.
• Simplified fees and tax. Fees and tax are modelled in a simplified way. Real tax rules differ by country, change over time and depend on your circumstances. Check the rules that apply to you.
• Inflation is an assumption. Future price rises are unknown; the inflation rate you enter is held constant.
• Rules of thumb are not promises. The 4% rule and the FIRE number come from research on historical US market data and may not hold in the future or in other markets.

Accuracy

We test the calculations carefully and correct mistakes as soon as we find them, but we cannot rule out errors. The site is provided as is, without any warranty that the results are complete, accurate or suitable for any purpose. To the extent permitted by law, reactera s.r.o. is not liable for decisions made or losses incurred on the basis of the site’s content.
